Free email to fax services are becoming quite popular, as they do not require that the sender has a fax machine, and are extremely easy to use. Not all of these services are the same, and before using one, you will want to know what these differences are.

In most cases, this service is free because advertisements are transmitted along with the fax. These advertisements are what pays the bills for the companies that provide this service.

Most people do not mind receiving these advertisements. That said, if you as the sender which to avoid them, there will be a small fee for sending the fax.

The websites that provide this service include an easy to use form that can be completed online. This typically includes a section for you to type whatever message you wish to send, and may also includes a section that will allow you to attach files.

PDF and document files can easily be attached. Other file types many also be acceptable.

Though each service provider is different, there usually is a limit as to how many faxes that you can send each day. There may also be a limit as to how many pages can be sent using the free versions.
