There is an amazing service online that allows a person to send free fax from the computer. All that is required is a fax number for the recipient, an e-mail address for the sender, and the documents that are to be sent in .DOC or .DOCX formats.

Many services make the users register with the website or use a credit card for this, but there are some services that do not require that information. The difference between paid services that let people send free fax, trial services, and totally free services is the features.

Features will be much more limited with a completely free service and they may add some things that the user might not necessarily want such as ads in the faxes. There may be a limit to how many faxes can be sent per day.

This limit may be only two faxes per day or only a certain amount of pages per fax. In order for the user to get additional features he or she would have to sign up for paid services.

This free service may not benefit a large business or a person who sends a significant amount of faxes. However, for the individual who only needs to send two or three documents out once to a government office for assistance or something like that, it is a perfect solution.

It could also work for a small business owner who only has to send out an occasional document. It is very convenient because it saves gas money for a trip to a location that has a fax machine.

It is friendly for the environment because there is no paper involved with the process. It is also very quick.

Online faxes are processed in generally the same amount of time that traditional faxes are sent in.
